ARTIST BIO

Hannah Kathleen McMaster lives and works in Chicago, Illinois. She received her BFA in Print Media and Photography from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2016. As a printmaker and the daughter of a professional magician, she loves the thrill of a reveal.
Her recent exhibitions include group shows at Chicago Printmakers Collaborative and Gallery 2052, the latter she also organized and installed. As an artist, collector, and teacher with experience working in established galleries, she also advocates for demystifying the art buying process by running workshops on how to approach galleries and how to frame fine art.
Beyond her personal practice, McMaster is a dedicated educator. Since 2018, she has been teaching relief printmaking and cyanotype for adults at Lillstreet Art Center. She has extensive experience guiding elementary and middle school aged students through ceramics summer camps and cyanotype workshops in both Southern California and Chicago for over a decade.

Her art fair experience includes Art Miami and EXPO Chicago with Edelman Gallery, and NCECA Expo with Lillstreet Gallery.
She has been a resident at Chroma Printmaking Residency in Albuquerque, NM (2025) and a guest at Lynchpin Press in Santa Fe, NM (2024).
